The Club for good tenants.

Sumia is a curated membership for tenants. At its heart is your verified tenant profile: a stable, personal address that grows with you and speaks for you everywhere. Like LinkedIn for the rental market — with the character of a private club.

01 · The Profile

A profile that grows with you.

Not a document you create once and forget. A stable address — curated by Sumia, maintained by you, always growing.

Who you are, confirmed once by Sumia — and yours to hold from then on. No ID copy drifting through strangers' inboxes; a seal that speaks for you without exposing you.

Your past homes, backed by the voices of former landlords. Substance that can't be manufactured overnight — which is exactly why it counts.

That your rent fits you comfortably, confirmed confidentially by Sumia — as an assurance, never a number. The landlord reads that it holds, not what you earn.

The landlord receives only a slim card — the link on it opens your living profile, for that one landlord, for a limited time, revocable at any moment. What travels is a gesture; what proves is the source — and you hold its key.

People decide who is admitted to Sumia. So a circle grows whose belonging means something — and that gains weight with every member.

02 · The Idea

Sumia takes one side. Yours.

A good apartment draws hundreds of applications — yet reliability rarely decides who gets it.

Sumia is neither a marketplace nor a broker. We don't list apartments, and we don't sell data. Sumia is a curated community of tenants — with personal admission and with standards. Landlords see your profile only when you choose to show it.

“Good tenants exist in great numbers. In today's market they are invisible. Sumia makes them visible — on their own terms.”

03 · Three Promises

What members receive

1

The Profile

Verified identity, confirmed affordability, verified residence history — under one stable, personal address.

Portable, certified, an asset that matures over the years.

2

The Admission

A personal admission interview, a curated decision. Not everyone is admitted right away — which is exactly what makes membership valuable.

Sumia is not an anonymous tool. It's a community with standards.

The Mediation

In disputes — service charges, repairs, rent increases, owner move-in — Sumia stands by its members.

Not with the lawyer who escalates. But with the mediator who looks for a solution.

04 · Our Word

In conflict, the conversation comes first.

Being a member of Sumia means sharing a stance: we settle conflicts through conversation, not escalation. Where others reach for a lawyer, we look first for a mediator — and Sumia provides one.

Not a rule imposed on us. Simply the way we live anyway.

05 · The Membership

One membership. The founding circle closes only once.

Sumia is taking shape now — with the first people who define it. Whoever joins today doesn’t enter a finished house — they help found it. You can become a member later. A founding member only now.

Frequent questions, clear answers

No — and that's by design. Sumia is not a housing portal and does not broker listings. We make you visible and credible: your profile goes ahead of you and speaks for you — at every door you approach. You walk the path to the apartment yourself; Sumia makes sure you don't walk it as a stranger.

A credit report delivers a value — a number that judges you. Sumia delivers the opposite: no score, no ranking, but a curated housing reputation that confirms without rating. A landlord doesn't read how you score, but that Sumia vouches for you. And unlike a one-off report, your profile belongs to you and grows with every home.

Yes — this is exactly what Sumia is built for. The German system can’t see what you bring with you: references from previous landlords abroad, income earned elsewhere, years of reliable renting in another country. Sumia reviews what SCHUFA can’t see and turns it into one confirmed profile. You arrive with a proven reputation instead of starting from zero.

No. What matters is not the size of your income, but whether your rent fits you well and how you live. Sumia admits people who live reliably, respect property, and seek conversation first in conflict — it's about attitude, not background, status, or salary.

Less than you might fear — and that's the point. A landlord sees the confirmation, not your documents. What you deposit once with Sumia, you no longer need to send through strangers' inboxes. You control access yourself: per landlord, for a limited time, revocable at any moment. Closeness that you grant — not disclosure demanded of you.

You'll find the terms under “The Membership”. The admission interview itself is free — the threshold is effort and attitude, not money. Those among the first join at founding terms and keep them for good; the fuller the circle grows, the more this window closes.
